Fellowship Programs: Education and Career Development
Weekly Conferences
In addition to fellowship-subspecialty specific conferences, the Department of Ophthalmology hosts a weekly Grand Rounds that includes clinical case presentations followed by a lecture by invited guest speakers including ophthalmologists, vision scientists, and physicians in other specialties. Furthermore, a weekly surgical case conference is held in which interesting surgical cases and complications are discussed in a teaching format that generates discussion and learning points.
In addition, UCSF Ophthalmology hosts an annual continuing education conference every December and an annual Research Day in May.
