9:15-10:00am–Grand Rounds Lecture:Tom Glaser, MD, PhD, “Genetic and Nutritional Basis for Eye Malformations – Vitamin A and Maternal Inheritance”

  1. Learn how mutations in retinoid pathway genes cause congenital eye malformations
  2. Understand gene x environment (diet) interactions in eye development and disease
  3. Learn the nutritional basis for maternal inheritance, involving defective materno-fetal transport
