9:15-10:00am–Grand Rounds Lecture: “Intersection Between Metabolic Adaptation, Tissue Tension and Tumor Aggression”, Valerie Weaver, PhD (Hosts: Matilda Chan, MD, PhD)

  • Review of tissue fibrosis linked to extracellular matrix remodeling, deposition and crosslinking
  • Familiarization with impact of tissue tension on tumor aggression
  • Familiarization with metabolic reprogramming and stress adaptation in tumors – and link to elevated tissue tension
