9:15-10:00am–Grand Rounds Lecture: Inaugural Whitcher Lecture: “Reducing the Impact of Corneal Ulcers in Resource-Limited Settings”, Jeremy Keenan, MD, MPH (Hosts: Nisha Acharya, MD, MS, and Tom Lietman, MD)

  • Review the randomized trials that have studied different treatments for corneal ulcers
  • Review cohort studies that have implemented community health worker programs for prevention of corneal ulcers
  • Review the results of a randomized trial that studied the efficacy of community health workers for prevention of corneal ulcers
